1. The Centra lore.

Where did Centra come from? What’s our founding story? Here’s the TLDR.

Piotr Zaleski was running his own global fashion brand from Stockholm in the naughties — a far and away time where most brands weren’t yet selling online. He knew that tapping into e-commerce was a huge opportunity to reach new markets, but he couldn’t find a platform that did what he wanted it to do. So, he pulled a team together, his first recruit being his hacker friend Frans Rosén — and they built the thing.

After running a hybrid fashion brand, slash digital agency, slash e-commerce system for about 5 years, the decision was made to turn the “system” into a SaaS platform: and Centra was born.

2. Centra is for fashion.

We’re not for everyone. Most platforms try to serve all business types—from hardware stores to pet supply shops, to dad selling vintage fish hooks from his garage. Not us.

3. We’re just built different (than any other platform).

Is Centra a headless e-commerce platform? Yes! Is Centra a full suite of commerce solutions? Also yes!
